All of our GPS devices have been designed for 2-way communication. This ensures that our customers will receive real-time location information. Many GPS-based devices on the market only log the data and do not transmit information back to the central server. Location information needs to be retrieved at a later time. Our system delivers location right away when you need it most.
We carry different categories of devices suited to different applications. The main difference between the categories is form factor, power requirements and frequency of location updates.
Vehicle Tracking Devices
Vehicle tracking is the most common location application. Devices are installed directly into the vehicle and are connected to main vehicle power, and possibly to ignition / door / other sensors depending on the application.
Assets Tracking Devices
The main concern when tracking assets is the absence of a fixed power source. These devices are usually made to operate from battery power with an optional vehicle power supply. They are also quite small and can be packed into boxes or containers. Typical device batteries can last anywhere from a few weeks to a few months.
Personal Tracking Devices
Pesonal tracking devices are designed to be carried by a user. As a result, they can be cellular phones, watches, or be small enough to fit into small bags. Due to the nature of the application, these devices should be permission-based and can be shut-off by the end user.
